Nikki and Bear’s Cat
So idk if I’m the only one who was a bit confused about this, but Bears wish was for Nikki to love him more than anyone in the world. But throughout the movie she kept bringing back his dead cat mortifying Bear. I thought this was really weird (weird for this movie atleast) and was confused because why would you do that to someone you love, like feeding the cat to him. So, if anyone got in the way of HER love she would kill them or harm them or whatever, i.e Sara, so i think the cat was supposed to be her reminding Bear the cat is dead and she’s all for him to love. Solely her not the cat at all. Also the feeding the cat to him might be because (normally) you would never eat the person or pet you love so in her weird messed up mind she might’ve believed that him eating the cat meant he didn’t love it and was truly all hers to love if that makes sense? Maybe I’m the only one confused on this but I haven’t seen it talked about much at all and was one of the things I thought about walking out the theatre.
