I asked for and was approved for community care because the nearest VA healthcare accepting new patients is 2 hours away from me. I am in community care for neurology and primary care. My question is, if I am not satisfied with my care and want to go back to the VA, can I just make an appointment at the VA healthcare facility 2 hours away, get assigned to a healthcare team and that’s that or do I need to request to be removed from community care and let them assign me to a healthcare team? Second part of the question, can I do this only for primary care and stay in community care for neurology?
