I am a student with 84XX rank. I got cse in mit bangalore in round 1 which i am not satisfied with.

I have three queries:

1. Can i participate in round 3 of counselling?

2. Can anyone help me understand the exact process of balance fee payment? Like it says that if i pay 1st installment, i will have to pay balance fee payment within 20th june 2026 but doesn't that mean i am locked into cse mit bangalore seat?

3. can i possibly downgrade my cse seat in mit bangalore to ece seat in mit bangalore in next round?

2nd question is most important. Please answer. 🥀

My main aim is Electronics engineering in MIT manipal.

I scored 91.09%ile in jee mains.

With that i secured a seat in thapar ee(vlsi) in first round of counselling.

Which will be better?

And should i wait for second round of counselling and try for cse fields then?
