After decades of suffering, I've finally gotten to a point that I can get rid of a migraine with OTC medicine, something previously unthinkable.
I'm curious if this is something hormone related, or simply me learning more how to manage my symptoms before they escalate.
There are still occasions where I absolutely have to take a Maxalt and I'm out for the day, but it's finally getting to where I'm not knocked out for days. This is a recent change I've noticed as I age into my 30s, and have gotten my chronic neck pain better under control (I have Arnold Chiari, epilepsy/seizures, scoliosis, TMJ, and occipital neuralgia that all worsened after two car accidents and brain surgery)... I can finally sleep without waking up with a migraine or neck swelling, which has been massive.
I was wondering if this has been common with anyone else here that's noticed a change in their migraines and headaches as they've aged? I've had neck pain since I was a teenager, so it's strange to me that it's only suddenly gotten better.
In the past, Excedrin helped with tension headaches only, but I've noticed I can now take some Excedrin, lay down a few hours, and most of the migraine has gone away.
Anyone else have a similar experience they can share? Would be nice to hear some positive stories. :')
