My first painting after a long break

I’m a tattoo artist and occasionally paint when I have some spare time. This is my first painting after an eight or nine month break, made little by little over the past couple of months.

Acrylic on canvas, 20 × 20 cm.

Thought this rodeo clown might fit in here.
Happy to finally share this with you. Hope you like it!

First proper cowboy hat. Does the fit look right?

I already have a cowboy hat, but I recently got my first proper one and I’m still figuring out how it’s supposed to fit.

It feels comfortable, but I’m not sure if it sits securely enough on my head. How snug should a hat like this actually be?

I also found cork sizing strips sold by the same company, so I’m wondering if those would be a good option if it’s slightly too big.

Thanks, guys! 🙏

Would this work for a wedding? I could really use some opinions 😅

EDIT: Just to add a little context, there’s no dress code for the wedding and it’s going to be a smaller, more family-oriented wedding rather than a big formal event. 😊

Hi! I could use some advice from people who know western fashion better than I do.
I’m from the Czech Republic, so western style isn’t really that common here and you definitely stand out a bit wearing it. I’m also not the most confident person when it comes to clothes and I’ve always worried a little too much about what other people might think and sometimes never wear it again.
Lately I’ve been trying to care less about that and actually wear things I genuinely like, and I’ve really fallen in love with western style.

I’m going to a wedding this Saturday and I only found out about two weeks ago that I’ll be one of the witnesses, which wasn’t really planned, so I haven’t had that much time to figure everything out.
This was literally just a quick try on to see if the things I already have could work together, so this isn’t necessarily the final version. I might still change or add a few little things.

Do you think the dress, boots and hat work together? And would you consider something like this appropriate for a wedding? I don’t want it to look like I’m wearing a costume or trying too hard, especially since western clothes aren’t very usual where I live.

I’m mostly unsure about the hat. My mom thinks a darker hat (brown) would look better with everything, but my boyfriend says the light one looks fine. I don’t have another western hat and there aren’t exactly places around here where I could find one before Saturday 😅

I’d really appreciate any opinions or suggestions. I’m still figuring out this style and trying to get a little more confident wearing what I actually like. 🤎
