"We live here and should decide what gets built in our backyards. AI and tech companies are moving too fast to build new data centers in Wisconsin with too many questions still unanswered related to environmental impacts, the costs to rate payers, the long term job creation and more. I'm calling for a moratorium – more time to get these questions answered. Politicians have made promises in the past that have left us with a raw deal – @.derrickvanorden is one of them."
If there is anyone in Inverness on vacation / holiday or that lives in the area / the UK, Leakey's Bookshop in Inverness has a few books on heraldry that would be great for anyone who is a collector or would love to reference these old books, since I couldn't find digital copies of some of them.
Armorial Families (pub. 1902), by Arthur Charles Fox-Davies
Boutell's Heraldry, by C.W. Scott-Giles & J.P. Brooke-Little
Heraldry: Sources, Symbols and Meaning by Ottfried Neubecker
Simple Heraldry, Cheerfully Illustrated by Iain Moncreiffe & Don Pottinger
I was visiting in April and did not take them home with me, sadly, so I hope someone will be able to. They are in pretty good condition (especially the Armorial Families copy), and I would sure hate for these books to go unused, unbought, unappreciated on these shelves. Or at the very least, this will be a good resource for some who might not have known these exist.
