silas/jeska, thoughts?
I have literally never seen these commanders paired before, and while looking for interesting ways to mess around with the Goblin Welder + Sewer Cam combo, I started exploring infinite mana outlets in Grixis colors. Thrasios doesn't really do it for me as a partner, so why not a slower Grixis artifact shell that makes Silas actually useful? You also get some board wipe potential in the command zone — worst case, 3 mana and bye-bye Roger (Rograkh) and Bowmasters.
It's essentially a Grixis artifact deck running Bolas's Citadel with a few 2-card infinite mana packages:
- Valley Floodcaller + Banishing Knack
- Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal
**Reasons to play:**
- Makes infinite mana.
- Gives Tainted Pact and Demonic Consultation a lot more urgency — since the deck only needs an A+B to win, the consult/pact lines are very real. Thassa's Oracle is still in the deck but it's more of a happy accident if you draw into it rather than something you're actively building toward.
- It's not as all-in as Rogsi, so there's more room to play a fair game when needed.
**Reasons not to play:**
- It's slower than Rogsi.

Open to any thoughts, and if anyone has tried this and found it wasn't worth the time, I'd love to hear how it went.
