What the heck is this
Sorry for the disgusting picture but I'm trying to find out what the heck this thing was in my puppys poop. I took him to the vet only a few days ago and they gave me a bunch of stuff to help with diarrhea he's been having, and then today this came out of him. Can't tell if it's a fruit rind or something else, but I don't know where he could have gotten anything. It had a tissue like texture. Super gross.
My puppy is very energetic and happy, plus he recently just got a stool sample checked and cleared negative for any parasites, so the only thing I can think is that he ate something weird and it messed with his tummy a little bit. I just would like to figure this mystery out so I can prevent it from happening again.
What's y'all's thoughts?
So far our biggest suspect is the pomegranate tree in the backyard. It has fruit that's not ripe yet and sometimes falls to the ground. But there's almost always somebody watching the puppy, he's never left alone in the backyard, so I can't imagine how he would get so much down so fast.
