Tiny black bugs won’t go away!

Tried to get good shots. Grape plant on cattle panel in zone 9b with full sunlight. These tiny black bugs keep showing up, especially on new growth. We have been religiously spraying with tons of Neem oil day and night seemingly to no avail. We don’t want to use harsh chemicals and pesticides, but is there anything else at all we can do to get rid of these pests? Thank you in advance!

Dwarf mulberry advice

This dwarf mulberry is growing tall and fast in zone 9b in Florida, in a guild with loamy soil. It’s pushing up more and more on the shade cloth. Wondering if we need to prune it down? If so, would need some pointers on how far down/how to go about it (what area, angle, etc)

Also have some yellowing leaves and thin wrinkled leaves. Plant ID said Epsom saltwater for yellowing (applied 5/15) and sap-sucking bugs for wrinkling (didn’t see any bugs but sprayed with Neem oil two days ago just in case). Any other advice?

Thanks!

How to train or tip?

Growing in zone 9b in Florida, 30% shade cloth, great loamy soil. Right branch is easily trainable and happy to hang down naturally. Left branch has grown fast and is shooting straight upward. At this point, I’m wondering if there is a good way to train that left branch to hang over downward, or if I should tip it and hope for branches that would shoot out horizontally to hang down in the right direction? Thanks so much for any advice.

2 plants: should we tip? Where?

2 different plants, pics included. Growing in zone 9b Florida under 30% shade cloth. Looking for advice on whether these growths should be tipped, and if so, how far down? Feel free to screenshot and use markup to show where would be best. Thank you so much in advance!

Should we prune? Where/how?

Dwarf everbearing mulberry tree growing in zone 9b, Florida in loamy soil with 30% shade cloth. This tree keeps on growing and is almost 5 feet at its tallest growth. Would you recommend pruning or let it grow? I’ve read pruning down will help it grow in more robust but I want to make sure pruning, especially going into summer, won’t be a problem.

If we do prune, any advice on how to? A certain angle or how far down? Signs to look for? Thanks!

How to train this one?

This tall branch is basically sticking straight up, and if anything leaning toward the center post of the trellis. Should I try to bring it forward toward me/the cattle panel? Over to the left? Just let it do its own thing?

I wanna make sure we’re also not getting in the way of the other branches either. Thanks in advance!

Mesenteric ultrasound - what to expect?

Ordered after CT angio showed possible compression, but vascular surgeon wasn’t convinced. Just wondering how y’all tolerated the scan or how your experience was? The instructions said it may last an hour with a break in between to eat a small meal. I’ve read about breathing protocols too. Otherwise, any advice on what do during the test for most accurate results? Thanks!

Should we prune mulberry tree? Where?

This ever-bearing dwarf mulberry tree is happily growing in a guild under 30% shade cloth in zone 9b Florida. Plant ID said yellowing leaves are due to too much upward growth (it’s a little over four feet tall), and said we should prune. However, I’ve also seen pruning isn’t usually done in spring/summer.

Any advice if we should prune it down any? Also not sure if any special way they need to be snipped, or how far down. Thanks in advance!

Where to prune?

We want to chop and propagate this dragonfruit, mostly want to get the horizontal growth off. Where would you recommend we cut? I put circles around each “joint” so to speak. On the vertical one, we are planning on snipping off the left.

How/where to prune?

Growing in zone 9B, Florida. Currently under 30% shade cloth. Plant ID says leaves are yellowing due to being too tall too fast, and needs to be pruned down some. It’s about four feet tall. How far down would you prune? Any certain branches that need to go? Any like tips/best practices?

Coneflower leaves suddenly wilted help!

Planted this happy coneflower on Friday. This morning it looked happy and we removed the shade cloth to give it some sun. Literally over the course of less than six hours it wilted! Pics are before and after. Watered it and covered it back up with 30% shade cloth. Any hope it will recover? We live in Florida, zone 9B.

How to keep frogs out?

Looking for something that isn’t a frog log or similar. The issue isn’t so much frogs getting in the pool , it’s that they lay tadpole eggs my family member then feels responsible for and in becomes a gigantic task lasting the whole summer.

We don’t really have the money for a good, solid pool cover right now.

I’ve read using things like white vinegar or coffee grounds around the perimeter or maybe even putting fencing around it could work? Any advice?

Hello, these dragonfruit plants had been feeling soft but not mushy like root rot or cold damage. Living in zone 9b, one is still in pot (we were preparing to propagate) and one is sowed a little over a month ago.

They feel soft and skin almost has a wrinkly quality in certain angles, they feel kind of thin and pliable. Have been getting pretty much direct light for 4 days, were in greenhouse before. Fertilized the one in the pot 5 days ago but don’t notice a difference.

Any advice?
