Hey all as the tittle suggests I’m wondering what the cleanest way you have found to rebuild a user profile after joining it to Microsoft Entra. The users are currently logging into local accounts but I would like to join them to Entra. In the past with clients I have wiped the machines and let autopilot take over but this client has lots of niche software that seems like a bear to recreate Entra apps for. Has anyone ever successfully joined a machine, logged into the Entra account and then moved things from local? Thanks!

Just wanted to flag this so more people are aware Microsoft seems to be rolling out a new registration campaign system even on tenants that are not using security defaults. This seems insanely irresponsible and infringing on lots of our clients current setups. Usually during the deployment of MFA we handle that ourselves with CA policies targeting specific groups and custom authentication strengths using only the methods we want to control so users don’t go rouge. These new Microsoft managed campaigns are creating sign-in loops and access errors. Found under Authentication Methods - Registration Campagins.
