I'm in the unfortunate position at 50y.o. of having St4 cancer, with somewhere between 2-5 years life expectancy. Having had cancer already previously (this is a return of a surgically removed cancer which has now spread and is inoperable), my life insurance payout will be quite limited unfortunately, but that side of things is well documented and in hand.

What I could really do with some help with his is to get things lined up as best I can to try to keep things as simple as possible, and well managed and laid out, for my wife when the day comes.

I am one of two directors of a small business, I have a small SIPP pension, a number of (again, quite small/modest) ISA's and some savings dotted about the place in general savings accounts. I intend carrying on working until I can no longer do so, mainly because I can't really afford to finish work.

What are the main things I should be preparing in terms of paperwork etc. to allow my wife to unpick things, mainly in relation to my business and my various savings pots. Would she be able to get hold of my SIPP in some way? Would anyone have an idea of what notes I may need to add to my will in relation to any of this?

Very grateful for any advice that you may have - I should ad, that while I'm not a complete thicko and very good at what I do, I am not especially financially savvy, so please explain things with that in mind!

Thanks
