My 10 month old son is very quiet. He laughs and can only shout 'eh' and make the 'brrr' motorbike sound with his lips. He doesn't wave or point or interact with anyone that is new. He will look expressionless when they talk him and is not interested at all.
He loves to sit and repeatedly throw himself backwards over and over for minutes at a time. He loves to hit himself in the head and bite everything.
He is just starting to walk around unassisted but is not able to crawl yet - he can roll around in all directions and backwards army crawl but he HATES being on his stomach.
He wakes every 3h at night on a good night and every other hour on a rough night and has never been able to put himself back to sleep.
I worry something is wrong, but at out 9 month checkup my dr just said he should go into daycare ASAP because it will help him but I still have 4 more months of maternity leave to go.
How can I help him? Anybody have a baby like this?
