Cured hypopituitarism?
Hello everyone, I'm writing using a translator.
I’m a guy, and I’ll be 19 in a few months. I’m 5’6”–5’7” (168–169 cm) and weigh 117 pounds (53 kg).
Here’s my story: I was born in Kazakhstan as a normal baby, but by the time I was 7 or 8, I was about 3’ 7 (109 cm) and weighed 35 pounds (16 kg). At that age, I was examined by an endocrinologist, who diagnosed me with hypopituitarism, dwarfism, dyscholia, iodine deficiency. I also had various ultrasounds of my scrotum and thyroid gland—both organs showed mild hypoplasia. An X-ray of my hands revealed that my bone age was 3 years, while my chronological age was 7–8 years. The endocrinologist prescribed growth hormone. I took growth hormone until I was 16, and when puberty began, the endocrinologist mentioned hCG, but both the endocrinologist and my parents “forgot” about it. I have absolutely no memory of that confusing period.
A few months ago, I deliberately had my hormone levels tested; the results were:
testosterone - 507 ng/dL
LH - 7.3 mIU/mL
FSH - 7.6 mIU/mL
Estradiol - 33.9 pg/mL
PRL - 32 ng/mL
IGF-1 - 210 ng/mL
TSH - 3.97 mIU/mL
Free T4 - 1.41 ng/dL
SHBG - 25.3 nmol/L
I also recently had an ultrasound of my scrotum; the testicles were about 6 cm³ each, and there were no other abnormalities. Semen analysis:
semen volume - 3.0 mL
concentration - 121 10^6/mL
total - 363*10^6
Total motility (a+b+c) - 75.5%
Normal morphology - 64%
I saw a urologist and an endocrinologist, but they looked at the test results and said everything was normal. However, I’m very concerned and afraid for my future. What do you think? Also, my oldest brother definitely has the mutation, but my sister and my second brother do not and are completely healthy.
