Thoughts on What's Happening Salem page

Has anyone else noticed that What’s Happening Salem feels more like a lifestyle/business promotion page than a true community news page?

I used to follow them expecting more coverage/discussion of actual Salem issues, but it mostly seems focused on restaurants, events, and promoting businesses. I commented about some issues a few times and now I appear to be blocked.

I’m curious if others see it the same way, or if people think that’s unfair and the page was never meant to be journalism in the first place.

TIA!
