Company laptop with Jabra evolve 3 75?
Hi everyone,
I recently bought a Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex UC with the Jabra Link 390 USB-C dongle, but I’m having really frustrating issues with it on my company ThinkPad.
Windows constantly switches the headset’s audio profiles automatically, especially during calls. For example, when I’m using Outreach.io or other communication tools, the sound quality suddenly drops and starts sounding extremely compressed — almost like an old phone call. My microphone quality seems fine, but the audio I hear becomes terrible.
What’s even stranger is that simply opening the Windows sound settings and clicking on the headset can trigger another profile switch. When I leave the settings again, it switches back. It feels like Windows, Jabra software, or some enterprise policy is constantly reinitializing the device.
I work in a corporate environment with strict IT policies and no admin rights, so I can’t fully troubleshoot or change advanced settings myself. I’ve also heard that other people in my company have experienced similar issues with Jabra headsets.
Now I’m wondering:
Is this a known issue with the Evolve2 65 Flex?
Would the Jabra Evolve3 75 behave the same way, or is it more stable?
Does using the USB-A dongle instead of USB-C make any difference on enterprise laptops like ThinkPads?
I’d really appreciate any advice or shared experiences before I decide whether to keep or replace the headset.
Should I get the UC version or the MS ?
Thanks for your help
