Jabra equivelant

I have used the Jabra elite 7 Active for years now and I really like the fit and user buttons. The left one has finally died off and I want to find something in the $80-$150 range that is comparable.

I am not too worried about the fine details of how they sound. I like the fit, the battery life, and the call quality. I mainly only use hear-through and off. I don't use the ANC much at all.

The things I am worried about in order:

  1. fit and comfort
  2. Call quality
  3. battery life
  4. sound

Seems hard to find any Jabra buds since they discontinued them.

I have been looking at Sennheiser, Technics, and Anker so far.

What would you recommend?

Problems with Evolve3 85

Hi,

I'm using a a Jabra Evolve3 85 that I bought 2-3 weeks ago.
Used with a Windows 11 25H2 (ARM) laptop.
USB dongle and Headset updated to latest firmware via Jabra Direct.

First of all, I´m using the dongle for BT connection. When i enter a Teams call/meeting i get into a "one device connected / device disconnected" loop. This morning it happened four times. The device stays connected if I just turn in on, but as soon as enter a Teams call this starts to happen. It has happened a few times before during these weeks, but today it so bad I can't use this headset.

Second, not sure if this is a problem or just a bad headset.
If I´m in a environment with a lot of noise, or if i pour myself a glass of water, if I try to talk while ANC has to work, everyone on the call says that my voice get really really bad and hard to hear.

Read reviews about this headset before purchase and the reviews said it was a very good headset, but i would not recommend this to anyone.

Has anyone had similar experience with this headset?

Jabra USB C to USB A using an adapter.

I got a Jabra evolve 2 65 headset and ordered it with the USB C dongle. I need a USB A. I am using a generic bluetooth dongle and it seems to work well, but I've read it is better to use the supplied Jabra dongle. Can I just get a USB C to A adapter and get full functionality? If so, is there any type of USB A adapter I should get? thanks!

jabra 85t elite right earbud not working

Hi, today i discovered a weird problem with my headphones. One important thing to mention is that they are around 6 years old atp. When i open my headphones etui, only the left earbud glows the green light, right one isnt glowing at all. When i click the right earbud, green light appears for a moment followed by red flashing light. From this point whenever i click on the right earbud, only that red light flashes, as if battery was dead (i know for sure its not because why would green light glow at the beggining). Tried resetting earbuds multiple times (purple flashing light did show up), however it didnt seem to work, i cant even turn the headphones off or on, cant turn on the bluetooth, its just flashing red light whenever i click the earbud. Anyone has any idea what could be the issue? is it fixable? or im better off looking for a new pair of headphones?

Waiting on Warranty Replacement

I returned my Jabra Elite 8 Active headphones for warranty replacement because the left earbud stopped working entirely despite trying all of the "fixes" required. My online form shows the headphones were received and processed well over a month ago (almost 6 weeks). I have heard nothing since then. Is the warranty replacement just a ruse? A joke?

It is such a shame because I used to boast about my awesome earbuds to all of the apple and shokz and beats users. But no more!

Jabra Elite 5 (buds) not charging

recently bought a jabra elite 5 (brand new in box) and the earbuds are not charging. when i took the earbuds and case out of the buds they seemed to be completely dead, however when i plugged in the case its led it up. after about 1-2 hours of charging the led on the case lit green but the buds are still "dead". i tried cleaning the gold contact points but to no avail. i have heard that earbuds stored unopened for a long period of time can be deeply discharged and stop working. what can i do to hopefully revive these buds?

note: this pair of earbuds seemed to be produced/manufactured in 2022-2023, so i am very concerned about overdischarge killing the buds.

edit: i have tried charging overnight (about 11 hours) however the buds still seem dead

Jabra Evolve 2 65 microphone regulation

Hi

Do you maybe know if Jabra Evolve 2 65 or any other headphones from Jabra lineup have an adjustment of moving microphone a bit away from users face?

It may sound strange but I just can't stand when microphone is touching my beard. It distracts me. That's why I like my old faulty Elite 45h so much

Jabra speakers integration for voice assistant

As probably many users, I'm waiting for a convincing voice assistant to my Home assistant personal system, not depending on Google or Amazon platforms.

The Nabu casa experimental new device or the Atom microphone and speakers sound not represent the right solution (poor microphone ou poor speaker quality).

At contrario, the jabra devices I experienced on my professional life appears more realistic to me.

As some other users, I own a Jabra speaker device and I wish this could be properly and easily integrated to my home assistant platform (raspberry + HAOS).

I looked all the posts on this matter here in Reddit and the spécific home assistant forums but it seems that there is not so far a good solution.

So I simply sent a first message to the Jabra company by the developpers' support center (so far).

I imagine that for this company, developing the domotic usage may be a great opportunity.

For the Home Assistant community too.

In brief, a good synergy for all of us.

Does someone have succeed to use jabra speakers for music assistant or voice assistant with HA?

Audio Switching and Sound Loss Issue with Jabra Evolve2 55 on Windows 11 Pro

I am currently using a Jabra Evolve2 55 headset on a Windows 11 Pro workstation for daily office communication and multitasking across multiple applications, including Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, Quo, and media playback.

I am experiencing an ongoing audio issue with the headset during normal usage. The device connects successfully and appears properly connected in Jabra Direct; however, audio playback intermittently stops working under the following conditions:

  • Music or media plays normally initially
  • After pausing audio for approximately 2–3 minutes, playback resumes without any sound output
  • During calls (Teams, Google Chat, Quo), the headset functions correctly
  • After ending a call, media playback no longer produces sound
  • In some cases, music works but call audio does not, or vice versa

The headset remains connected and detected by both Windows and Jabra Direct during the issue.

Could you please assist with:

  • Recommended configuration settings for Windows 11 Pro
  • Known fixes related to audio profile switching between media and communication modes
  • Any stability improvements for Teams/softphone integration

Your assistance would be highly appreciated.

Jabra Evolve 2 75 synthetic leather(?) peeling phenomenon

I have been using a Jabra Evolve 2 75 for two years. One day, the faux leather on the part that touches my head suddenly started peeling off little by little, and now a significant portion has come off. The ear pads also exhibited this issue, and I have previously replaced them with compatible ones from Amazon.

However, it appears that the faux leather parts cannot be replaced. Although I recently received a Jabra Evolve 3 85 from a partner company for work, I would like to continue using my personal Evolve 2 75.

It seems like a clear product defect, but since the warranty has expired and I have lost my receipt, it is difficult to proceed with a repair request.

Jabra Evolve2 65 mic dead in Teams only – Windows 11 25H2, Teams 26106, Jabra Direct up to date

Hey everyone,

posting this as a standalone report since I'm seeing this issue pop up in multiple threads without a clear resolution.

Setup:

  • Jabra Evolve2 65
  • Windows 11 25H2
  • Microsoft Teams 26106.1906.4665.7308 (latest as of May 2026)
  • Jabra Direct installed and up to date
  • Corporate M365 environment

Symptom: Microphone works perfectly on mobile and in every other app on the laptop. The moment a Teams call starts, Teams receives zero mic input. Windows Sound Settings show the mic is active and picking up audio — Teams just doesn't receive it. Mute/unmute via headset buttons is recognized by Teams, but irrelevant since no audio gets through anyway. Speaker works fine in Teams throughout.

Already tried:

  • Driver reinstall
  • Teams reinstall
  • Jabra Direct reinstall
  • Replacement unit (same behavior)
  • Multiple restarts

Just opened a Microsoft support ticket. Has anyone found a reliable fix or workaround?

Wireless headset, with charging base - But with a phone that has 3.5mm headset jack (and *maybe* bluetooth)

I'm a bit at my wits end here trying to find information, so I figured I would post straight in the headset groups.

I have a client using Unifi Talk, specifically the G3 Touch Pro phones.

The phones have a 3.5mm headset jack on them, instead of the common RJ9 headset port. The phones do have bluetooth on them, but support seems to be hit and miss. I've read that a Jabra Talk 65 will answer calls, but not end them. A Jabra Perform 45 will answer and end calls. While I'm not absolutely eliminating bluetooth headsets, it's going to be my last choice.

Client is looking for a wireless headset, either headworn or earworn, mono, single cup; your typical receptionist or call-center style. Ideally it would also have a charging base. Busy lamp (either optional or built in) is icing on the cake. Plugging in to the phone, either directly to the 3.5mm or with a EHS adapter is preferred, but we can't have handset lifters due to the design of the phone.

Thoughts?

MS Teams Calls Don’t Record When I’m Muted

I use Granola and Vidmore to record and transcribe Teams calls. However, when I attended meetings today, I noticed that none of the calls recorded the parts where I muted my audio on Teams and only the parts where I was unmuted were captured.

I did some troubleshooting and found that recording works fine when I use my laptop’s microphone and speaker, but it does not work when I use my Jabra Evolve 65TE via the 2.4G USB connection. I then switched my Jabra to Bluetooth, and the calls were recorded properly even while I was muted.

This is the first time this has happened. Since buying the headset, I have only used the 2.4G connection and never Bluetooth, so I’m not sure why this issue has suddenly started occurring.

Would anyone know why this might be happening or if there’s a setting that may have changed recently?

Jabra Elite 10 Gen 1 Left Earbud not working

Hi, my Jabra Elite 10 Gen 1's left Earbud suddenly is not working.

When I placed it the left Earbud in the charging case, the inner led and external led detect it and flash green.

But when I removed the left Earbud, it cannot be detected on any of my connected phones. Only the right Earbud is functioning well.

The left Earbud started to experience intermittent connection issue after I updated the firmware to Jabra Sound+ Version 5.21.0.0.11448.0988ad39a (521011448). It stops working 3 days ago.

Anyone facing the same issue as me?

Left Earbud Suddenly Completely Dead

Both earbuds were fully functional a couple hours ago. So if the battery died, it died suddenly.

The left ear bud will not connect or respond in any way. The light does not come on when placed in the charging case and holding the button down for pairing has no effect.

I have tried resetting the case, updating the firmware though the language setting, but nothing has worked.

Has anyone found a fix for this? I have not found any earbuds that fit nearly as well in my ears, and it looks like all of Jabra's have been discontinued so I really don't want to have to replace these.
