Planned obsolescence?

I have had this pair of Jabra Evolve 2 65 for around 3 years. The state them after this short amount of time just screams planned obsolescence. The head band now just deposits black flakes of plastic on my hair anytime I wear them.

I have washed and dried my elite active 75t twice and they still work. I was just looking to get some new ones and had no idea they’re discontinued. I’m so late to this but why everything good has to come to an end? Any good alternatives?

Warranty Replacement Earbuds After Product Discontinued

Does anyone have experience with a warranty replacement after they stopped selling the earbuds? I'm nervous to send them in because I don't trust they actually have a replacement. My left bud is defective, but they want me to send it in first and leave me without buds for almost a month. I bought them right at end when I found out they were discontinuing buds.

I'm betting they either a.) Refuse the warranty or b.) Refund me because they don't have more...both of which suck. I'd rather just keep the one working bud in lieu of those options I guess.

I've used Jabra (edited for clarity) buds exclusively for past 10 years and would like to think the company is going to act honourably at this point but...any insights?

Jabra Elite 4 Active run over by car

I am hoping to fix these. The housing is partly damaged, but it’s all surprisingly intact.

If anyone knows where I can find some reference photos, or guide me on what earbud guts usually look like, that would be lovely.

One of the crane-looking things (next to the R) fell off, but I assume that can just be glued back on. What type of glue is safe on circuit boards?

I figure it’s a long shot, but I’m happy to try, even if I waste some time. These were my favorite and they have since been discontinued.

I’ve searched on YouTube, but the videos I found were zoomed out and it’s difficult to see the exact placements of the metal do-dads.

Thanks in advance!!

Jabra Connect 5t earbuds not working

Hello, I encounter the very same problem, it seems, as the poster here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Jabra/s/5G66qzDAzy

I have acquired a new, sealed set of Jabra Connect 5t earbuds buds but I cannot bring the earbuds to work, no led, no reaction. I have charged them in the charging case for several hours using the usb cable provided with the earbuds. The charging case lights green but the earbuds do nothing. I have bought these as a replacement for my previous Elite 5 (which I have lost, sigh…..) and have also tried to charge them in my former charging case, same result. Is there a workaround or is there a risk, as previous posters assumed, that a long time without use has fully and irreversibly drained the Akku of the earbuds?

Many thanks in advance for your help

Don't buy if you have moderate to severe hearing loss

I bought a pair of Jabra Enhance 700 hearing aids in January and had to stop using them and go back to my 7 year old Phonaks. I sent them my hearing test before purchase and was assured that the new 700 line could handle my hearing loss. My test showed the line going into the severe category for about half the range in both ears. I returned the first pair and had them reprogrammed 3 times and they still do not help me hear as well as my old pair. Numerous tries with the custom settings, mode and speech clarity just made them screech in my ears. Since I'm out of the 100 day trial period I'm out of luck. Lesson learned: don't believe that the 700 will solve your moderate to severe hearing loss!

Worse audio on headset than on cisco desk phone?

Hi all, I just got a new Cisco 8851 desk phone and a Jabra engage 65 SE.

Issue I'm having is that the audio quality on the headset is maybe 10 - 15% worse than on the cisco handset. Not enough to be a real issue, but enough to annoy me given that this headset was $300!

On an actual call it's harder to tell unless you really listen, but the main thing driving me crazy is the dial tone on the headset is crackly/staticky.

I've been through every conceivable setting on the cisco and the jabra, downloaded the latest firmware, have tried different cords, and nothing is working.

Is this headset potentially defective? Is this just to be expected with a headset? (I really hope not for $300!)

Thanks all in advance

Jabra Link 390 Firmware Update Broke My Setup 😥

I'd been using the Link 390 and previously the Link 380 USB-A dongles with my Bose QC 35 II's really well for conference calls on my Windows PC. Unfortunately, I upgraded the 390 firmware to v3.X (I think from v1.4.6), and it no longer works. Of course, 3rd party devices aren't officially supported, but it was working well for so long!

Anyone have experience with other dongles that can be used with Bose or similar headphones? From what I understand, the key is the ability to maintain full-duplex audio (mic and headphones)

Evolve2 75 has a terrible microphone.

Dear Jabra Support Team,

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my Jabra Evolve2 75. This headset is marketed as having 8 microphones for professional recording, but what is the point of this hardware if it does not work at all?

Despite updating to the latest firmware version 1.13.1, the microphone remains completely non-functional when connected to Windows via Bluetooth.

Although this was a gift and is now out of warranty, it is unacceptable that a premium product fails to perform its primary function. Please provide me with clear instructions on how to resolve this issue, as I am currently unable to use the device as intended.

I look forward to your prompt response.

Best regards,

------

Summary:

  1. Jabra Evolve2 75 mic fails on Windows via Bluetooth.
  2. Looking forward to your support and guidance to resolve this issue.

Thanks.

Please help me with recommendations for new headphones

My Jabra Elite 75t has suddenly stopped working. They both worked fine right before I went to bed last night, and when I woke up this morning the left bud was completely dead. The case was fully charged so it can't be the battery. I tried cleaning the charging plates on the bud, and the pins in the case but that made no difference. The LED indicator doesn't even light up when I put it in the case. I have tried to reset them but that doesn't help either. These have been the best headphones I've ever owned and I'm really sad I probably have to say goodbye to them. But unless anyone knows another trick I can try to revive it, I would really love some recommendations for replacements.

I'm not too picky, the most important thing to me is sound quality and not too expensive as I have a pretty tight budget right now, preferably not more than maybe $150-160.

Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 case is toast?

My Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 case stopped holding a charge. Even plugged into the wall, it won't get higher than 70% charge, and it quickly drops to 0 charge when not in use. I tried resetting the case, but now my computer won't pair the headphones and my attempts to update the firmware using my phone are met with error messages.

Is there any salvaging this, or do I have an expensive paper weight now? I bought them just under 2 years ago so may still be in the warranty period. Thanks for your help.

Can someone suggest if this has a quick fix on a Jabra Evolve 65?

The same thing is coming off on both sides. It seems like a clip on thing and not screwed down like the other end of that tiny panel

If I clip it back in it will again come off when I move the telescopic extender. If I hold it too tight then the extender will not move so it is certainly not something I can fasten with glue or tape around.

Goodbye Jabra 🫂👋

Jabra Elite 8 Active was my third and last pair.

After a firmware update, my Jabra Elite 8 Active developed a constant mic feedback loop (audible in the ear even outside calls); resets, re-pairing, and firmware reloads didn’t fix it. Never heard back from Jabra support. So, byyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeee
