Going to a gyno oncologist consult
Hi all- I’m 27 & just got my first biopsy results after my first abnormal pap (I had gotten 2 paps previously that were clear). Results showed CIN3 in two biopsy spots and one had extension into the endocervical glands. My gyno is recommending CKC but I have a gyno oncologist appointment tomorrow, I guess a consultation. Based on what I’m reading I assume the oncologist will recommend a CKC as well because of the extension into endocervical glands but is there a reason to push for/consider a LEEP instead? Should I make sure to get a second opinion before? If this context helps, I’m in a long term relationship (plans to get engaged this year) and don’t want kids.
Also I’m in NYC going through Mount Sinai/Ruttenberg Cancer Center because I know my insurance covers those docs but if there’s anyone who’s the best of the best in NYC please let me know! Thanks in advance!
