The Fire TV version is already online, while the Android TV version is currently in closed beta (please request access if you are interested). It will be coming to Apple TV in the future; I am currently developing the app.
After months of work I've finally got an alternative Plex client for Android TV ready, and I need some help getting past Google's requirement of 12 testers for 14 days before I can publish it publicly on the Play Store. I'm turning to Reddit again, just like I did with my mobile app a while back.
To keep it short, I built this app around three goals:
And while I was at it, just like in the Android/iOS versions, I added an admin dashboard for active sessions with a map that shows where each connection is coming from.
Originally I was going to port my existing Flutter mobile app, but the result wasn't what I wanted, so I decided to rebuild it from scratch keeping all the groundwork I already had figured out. Honestly, I'm really happy with how it turned out.
My next goal is a native Apple TV app, while I keep fixing things on this one and the mobile version.
If anyone can help with testing, please drop a comment on the post or send me a DM and I'll explain how to join.
Thanks a lot!
