Can any Linux GD players help me out?
Yesterday, I had it with windows and decided to switch to Linux. It went smoothly, and I'm getting a good grasp on how everything works. Everything runs perfectly and my laptop has never ran better. However, Geometry Dash for some reason, has these weird, random, periodical lag spikes whilst I'm playing. They don't appear to happen in any other game as far as I know, which is why I'm on this sub instead of a Linux sub. If you're curious, my distro of Linux is Nobara.
I've attached a video of me playing Death Moon, perfectly showing off one of these lag spikes. It's distracting and messes me up on harder levels VERY easily, and borderline makes playing insanes or extremes impossible or extremely luck based. I've tried troubleshooting what could possibly be causing this for about the past 5-7 hours, not to mention how much time I spent yesterday looking into this exact same problem. I didn't want to resort to making a post, because I doubted that I'd actually get any responses, let alone a solution, but I'm out of options. This is my last Hail Mary.
From the extensive troubleshooting I have done, I have a theory for what may be causing it, however I cannot actually fix it. There seems to be something going on with Vsync and the compositor, and the supposed solution is to turn off the compositor (If that's what's really causing these lag spikes)
