I'm attempting to download 5,000 IDs for my first batch, with more batches to come in the future. Then, when I get enough levels downloaded, I can use the program to zip right through them at lightning speed and try tweaking the fingerprint as many times as I want!
Started playing in 2.0 when I was 8 years old, now an adult and I’ve been saving up from my part time job since starting high school. Recently switched to an iPhone and cba to pirate it on iOS + I have a good amount of money to my name, so I figure it’s time to retire the ship. Thank you APK providers and Windows pirates for making my childhood better in tough times :)
Im playing osu since years and I was always interested in geometry dash but never started playing it until I broke my left hand. I thought it was a good oppurtunity for starting geometry dash since I wasnt be able to click circles on osu anymore. Im also designing levels in osu
Everything here is my own opinions, you dont have to argue if you dont like things I said. Criticism is always welcome. I think geometry dash has best visuals between all rythm games (I know gd isnt a rythm game) but it is doing 2 things really wrong. That was also the reasons why I was avoiding playing it. That two flaws are insta death and not being a rythm game. It will make sense when I explain the reasons.
Lets start with insta death. Imagine talking about frame perfects to someone and you have to restart from very beginning when you die. A good amount of people wouldnt want to play that kind of game since its so tedious and hard. But I also agree that insta death is good because you can enjoy beautiful design of the levels and appreciate them more instead of just beating them and moving on. I think there is a smart solution that will make everyone happy.
I will give example from the osu. When you miss a click on osu, it doesnt kill you instantly. Instead, it reduces your hp. When your hp goes to 0, thats when you are dead. And you restore hp by clicking circles. So, for geometry dash, there can be a hp system but it shouldnt make players beat levels much easier. For example lets say we have 5 hp at beginning and we lose 4 hp instead of dying and we restore 1 hp every 10 seconds. In this way, game will be less punishing and you will still need skill and practice for beating levels. This will just prevent undeserved deaths. And this can be adjusted too. In osu, you can adjust how much hp players will lose. For example, for harder maps, you can make players lose less hp so it will be more fun to play harder maps. This should be reverse in geometry dash I think, easier maps should ignore your deaths more while harder maps should be more punishing so we can still protect the insta death effect.
You might ask there is no much difference between a few deaths and no death. Why it will make a difference? I will give a very simple example. Lets sau we need to make a triple spike jump but you clicked sligthly early and you died. For a second scenario, lets say you clicked too early and you landed on second spike. With insta death, both jumps are equaly punishing but with hp system, you will still die when you land on second spike but you will survive when you land on third spike. This can be more precise too. It can depend on touching time. For example if you touch a spike for 0.01 seconds it should take a very small hp but if you touch a spike for a 0.5 seconds, it should either kill you or deal a very big damage. So, this wont make game easier but it will make precision more rewarding.
Another argument here might be verifications and being not respectful for past passes. We can use accuracy here. Luckily we already have noclip and I dont need to explain how accuracy would work. You will need 100% accuracy for verifying levels or for beating them. I dont have a brilliant idea for seperating 100% accuracy beating and less than 100% accuracy beating but its a possible thing to do. Just think it like if you didnt beat a level with 100% accuracy, it doesnt count as beating. Casual players wouldnt mind it and can enjoy game more just by beating levels.
Second problem is gd not being a rythm game. This is what makes geometry dash this hard. In osu, at mad OD (overall difficulty. It adjusts how many time you have for a click) you have 13.33 ms for a perfect click. Its equal to 80 fps frame perfect. You still have 66.7 ms for making that click but we always aim for a perfect click. And usually more than 95-98% of our click are being a perfect click. There are hundreds of clicks in a minutue. Imagine a level having 1000 80 fps frame perfects in geometry dash, it will be impossible. But it wont even be hard if it was following the rythm. There are some levels that synchronized with song and I really appreciate them but we are talking about frame perfects here. Its impossible to sync them with song. For easier levels, I think they are already good enough since you have so much time to click and it doesnt much matter if they are perfect synced or not. But for harder leves, I think this precision is necessary.
This will also make creating levels easier. Because you can adjust where to jump and where to hold according to song and it will be easier to create a layout. So, there should be offset for songs and you can click and choose where jumps will be. Then put objects around that jump. And I think we all agree that leves are synced with the song is really fun to play.
Like I said at first, these are just my opinions and Im a new player. So my ideas might feels wrong for someone who is playing geometry dash for a very long time. But I think this would encourage more players for playing the game. Geometry dash literally has best visual among all rythm games. This changes will make more people to play beautiful levels because usually harder levels have a better decoration. Even if they cant beat them with 100% accuracy, they still should be able to play them without not improving themselves too much. Because the skill gap in this game is so huge. I dont think this is an healthy thing. I just wanted to share my opinions and I also want to hear other people's opinions about this take
I have a sayodevice that I bought about a year ago I still use it but one of the keys is broken and for some reason clicks at 1000cps if you hold it a certain way
skiil issue
edit i said "i dislike" and not "we dislike" 🥹
If this gets verified in my lifetime I'm gonna cut my index finger off bro
Vortrox is an utterly disgusting piece of garbage for what he did on this stream. He was playing Sonic Wave, and someone asked, "What should I do before skeletal shenanigans?" And this utter scumbag piece of trash decided to slip in an undisclosed advertisement by advertising his level, Hello Fitzgerald. How shameless do you have to be? This dude is an utter scumbag. How can anybody support this piece of garbage? Vortrox, you have committed a cardinal sin! No, you have committed every cardinal sin! You are an evil monster! I am totally not a chud who is trying to start drama on GD Twitter. And I'm totally, totally not trying to induce rage bait.
I am utterly disgusted and petrified by this man's actions.
Thank you to everyone who participated, I'm glad all of you managed to get your runs in time. This level is pretty hard lol
I have been wanting to say this for months. I have no clue what tag I should pick. I have a non verbal brother and there isn’t a lot of things he likes. He usually just stays in his own realm with his toys, music and so on. One day (around April) he saw me playing GD on my phone and he was fascinated. He particularly enjoyed Dash and basically begged me to play the level over and over again. Slowly as the months go on he has tried to play the levels as well. We are starting to bond about our love of the game. I show him new levels and takes a shot at them. Maybe this is just the placebo effect but I feel like he is starting to warm up with the family. I wanted to thank the geometry dash community and the creator RobTop for this game. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity of bonding with my brother <3
(Also I apologize if the grammar is off, my first language isn’t English)
11 years after the release of the video "Geometry Dash YouTubers: Skilled or Hackers?", BlasterGamesBG, one of the players exposed for cheating in the video, filed a strike against it. TheMuteTroll accused the slayer of using a speedhack while playing Cataclysm.
