i've seen the trailers and videos before but seeing and playing it makes me feel like im playing a completely different game. The 1.4 camera mode update is so good i've probably taken over 100 pictures in about a week. but honestly, the camera mode isn't too in depth or complicated, its just they made every bit of this game so picturesque it makes me want to take photos everywhere i go.

this alone reignited my love for endfield after skipping 1.3.

I've been seeing a lot of posts and comments theorizing that Pirate clark bit clark because he saw clark eat other still lifes, but i feel like that theory is a bit weak as for them there would be nothing odd about the room except one person, mary.

I saw this post on twitter pointing out how, when entering the room mary was in, Pirate clark had a surprised look as if saying "oh, a visitor!", this means that mary is a person alien to Pirate clark.

the presence of mary wouldn't have sparked what he did to clark, what did though is how clark introduces mary;

"This is Mary... she's... OUR therapist"

one thing clark makes clear in the whole dinner sequence is how he doesn't want to change, and this personality trait is copied straight onto pirate clark, so when he hears that mary is a therapist, someone who tries to drive change, on top of clark saying she's their therapist as if he's trying to change the both of them, he took this as betrayal.

so he did to clark what he thought he did to him, a killing bite disguised as a friendly hug.

In most backrooms interpretations online its almost always that a level ​​just so happens to have an entity inhabit it. The bacteria monster sort of falls under this too.

But still lifes are not an external entity that exists in the backrooms but instead a direct result of the backrooms itself​ trying to remember / recreate life. This is probably the first monster i've seen thats like that across all of backrooms interpretations.​​​​​
