Acer Swift X14 Broken Trackpad

Hey yall. I have a fairly new x14(72G) and noticed that the trackpad hasn’t been responding to my presses. I took a peak under the shell and saw that the ribbon connector on the trackpad was broken. I’ve been looking for a replacement but have been unable to find one. Anyone have suggestions? Keep in mind this is a 2000 dollar laptop and to not have easily accessible parts is wild. I’ve linked below photos of the touch pad and also a listing for one I saw. Idk if it’ll work tho.

I just committed to a pretty tough engineering school for aerospace and honestly I’m a little worried I won’t keep up.

I’ve done well in my classes, but I still make dumb mistakes and sometimes feel like I’m not as solid on the fundamentals as I should be.

For people already in engineering: what actually helps you stay on top of everything? And what should I work on before I start?
