My only gripe with this series is that I know this is anime and characters are designed like anime characters but their Male forms to me do not look masculine enough. Would have been cool to see hulking warriors with flower beards or something.

Though I am wondering am I missing the point? Is both their male and female form supposed to be androgynous despite their being an established middle form? So would hyper-femme or hyper-masc tensen be against the design philosophy?
