Seeking Advice
I’m a 3:1 co-lead and I’m working 50-55hrs per week. Most of my leads work significantly less than that and even stretch their time out to prevent getting stops added. I’m often pushing the biggest loads and coming behind to fix a lot of things and it’s getting old and I’m getting burned out.
I almost never bonus and somethings gotta give. With the lack of bonus I’m basically working for base and my merit is something I can’t even fully control. I need to do something to get closer to 45hrs per week as I’ve stopped the fixing of the bs I’m running into where leads are in a hurry to make a short shift for themselves. Back filling with whatever they want and barely working backstock and then expecting me to come behind and fix it all. I’m seriously going to start cutting whatever corners I need to to get my time down because right now I’m definitely being taken advantage of.
I used to love this job and now I hate it and it’s making me miserable. I have no life outside of work because the little time I do get at home, I’m too tired and sore to enjoy it. I ultimately plan to leave but in the meantime until I can’t reach that next chapter, what are some words of advice form you guys on how to approach this. Thanks in advance for your time.
