AWS Ops VS BVPI Commissioning

Hi all,

I am currently working with AWS as an L4 Technician. I recently had an interview with BVPI for the position of Commissioning Electrical Engineer. Would moving from AWS to BVPI be a good career decision? I would appreciate any advice or insights from those who have experience with either company or a similar career transition.

Overtime possibility in Greenfield Google Data center VS operational AWS DC

I am currently working at AWS as a DCEO L4. I have received an opportunity from Google for a greenfield data center role at L3 level.

The salary difference is not very high. However, in Google I may lose shift allowance because the data center will take around one year to build and become fully operational.

I want to understand:

  • How much overtime (OT) opportunity is usually available in the field?
  • Is L3 considered a junior-level role compared to my current L4 position?

I am a bit confused and would appreciate some guidance. I am interested in joining Google, but I also have financial commitments and loans to manage, so I need to make a careful decision.
