Their HB is like a 2H in other brands or even a different Faber line. I'm taking a standardised exam and I was comparing them to Dixon Ticonderoga and found I needed at least a 2B to match the darkness of the HB. I also compared it to the Blackwing Natural (which I get is not fair because its not a graded pencil) and the Blackwing was much darker.
