Recon Mains and new zeroing

Haven’t really seen anyone talking about this so I figured I’d get thoughts from other recon mains on the new zero mechanics.

I feel like the new mechanics where the range finder allows you to zero to the exact distance of your target has taken a lot of the skill and fun out of sniping. On top of the fact that you can button map your zero button to your fire button and now your rifle just auto zeroes every time you take a shot. Just point and shoot and as long as you don’t need to lead your shot much you’re pretty much guaranteed the headshot. Essentially, counter sniping now is just about who can get the shot off first and duck right back into cover.

In the previous games I didn’t mind range finders cuz you still had to manually set range to the nearest 100 and adjust for the difference either below or above your target. It still required you to learn the bullet drop off for each rifle and tailor your play-style.

What are your guys’ thoughts?
