The igla challenge shows how broken AA is.

It's insane how messed up AA is. It's genuinely useless. You lock someone, shoot missile, they flare, go down or out of range... And before you have another missile ready... Forget it, they gone.

AA is useless.

Also, the challenge is broken in general.

And yes, I'm mad xD

Happy with Interdictor ?

Guys, what’s your take on the new sniper rifle? I think it’s pretty good and fun to use, but I’m a bit disappointed with long-range shots—the bullet drop is pretty severe... It’s supposed to be designed for extreme ranges, yet I can’t hit anything beyond 200–300 meters 😄 Maybe I just suck. What’s your experience been like?

DICE, did you playtest this?

Every game people come to the enemy's carrier to camp it, steal and destroy all their aircraft, and spam mines everywhere.

I installed this game again to check out the update and it looks like i'm gonna stop playing until the next one, again.

From stupid balancing decisions on the new jets, to not addressing most of the issues jets have had since release, to clearly not testing the new mode, I'm extremely disappointed with the state of this game right now and i don't see myself returning for a while

What does this rifle offer that makes up for the lack of an ADS bolt?

Sure, the sweet spot is large and the damage is high but it’ll still never one shot outside the SS range and the fire-rechamber-ADS speed is pretty slow compared to the others. I don’t think the slightly larger SS is really enough to make up for such a disadvantage. The velocity isn’t any higher, either.

Why did they remove the Quick Swap Class feature in the new patch?

Before the latest patch, it was incredibly easy to switch between classes while waiting to spawn. You could just tap L1 or R1 to instantly adjust your loadout based on what was happening in the match.

Now, you have to manually enter the "Customize" menu, select your class, and back out. All the snapiness and fluidity of navigating the spawn screen is completely gone. A feature that used to be quick and useful now feels slow and tedious.

Does anyone know why they made this change? Was it intentional or an accidental bug? I really hope they bring quick swap back.

The Interdictor is the worst sniper rifle

What was DICE's intention with this weapon? The rifle is much worse than the other snipers and has no positive trade-offs. For those who don't know, here some details:

Pros:

  • 150 damage for a larger sweetspot range (other snipers have 100dmg)
    • Note: Experienced snipers do not play around the sweetspot, but headshots instead.
    • The bonus is perhaps good for RedSec, but lets ignore it in this post.

Cons:

  • It is made for long-range, but has a slower bullet velocity than the MiniScout and ESR
  • Its ADS is the slowest of all, even with all max level attachments and small magazine (3!)
  • No ADS bolt, so you cannot stay in scope after firing. This means you can lose your (distant) target even easier (when missing) because the reload time is so long and the they can easily run away.
    • Even with ADS bolt, it would have the slowest ROF in the weapon category (which is fine for its size, but still: there is no benefit using it)
  • The first and ONLY silencer is unlocked at Lv39, so until then you are spotted everywhere. Yes there is the Flash Hider, but it is simply not as good as a silencer since spotting and the minimap are far too powerful right now.
  • The ammo it was made for is unlocked at Lv33 (Long Range bullets)
  • Worst sprint-recovery
  • Slowest reload

All snipers can easily do long-range kills without all the negative things above, so why bother leveling and using the Interdictor?

Thoughts about solutions:

With the current state of vehicle spam, why don't give this weapon additional vehicle damage? I tested the weapon against all vehicles (land, air, sea) and it does the same damage as the other rifles.

The worst part: Even though the weapon has a large calibre, it does NO damage to armored vehicles - not even boats. It should work similar to the NTW-50 of 2042, dealing 3-5(?)% HP damage. For balance, it should NOT be able to deal damage to heavy tanks, but everything else (boats, helicopters, IFVs etc) should get at least some trouble when getting hit by it.

Obviously if this happens, all the negative parts above should stay to keep it balanced.

I know sniping isn't popular in this sub, but this gun is the DB12 of snipers right now and needs some serious changes.

[BFComms] Match Trigger Attachment Temporarily Disabled on EF88 and BROD

We've temporarily disabled the Match Trigger attachment on the EF88 and BROD while we investigate an issue affecting its intended behavior.

Our team is working on a resolution, and we'll share another update once the attachment is ready to be re-enabled.

Thank you for your patience.

PSA : if your boat's mortar is barely responsive in 3rd-person view on mouse, this is why... :/ (still not fixed)

So, since this hasn't been addressed in yesterday update, I'm posting this one more time, along with the bug report thread on EA forum.

Tl;Dr :
Right now, the 3rd-person mortar view's sensitivity is tied to the same "gunner aim sensitivity" slider as all the other gunner views, so the only option is to increase or decrease all of them together.
Depending on how you like your gunner sensitivity, this can make the mortar borderline unplayable to straight-up unplayable in 3rd person.

I'd say it's fine if your 1st-person sensitivity is around 15 cm/360 or higher, but the lower it gets, the more of a hassle the 3rd-person view becomes to play. For example, i like mine pretty low (40 cm/360), and at that sensitivity, it's simply unplayable.

Conclusion : The current setup can't work for everybody, the mortar 3rd-person view needs its OWN dedicated slider.

If you're affected and haven't done it yet, feel free to vote the EA forum thread, and if you got the courage, comment by saying "I'm affected, i play on a Xcm/360 sensitivity" (it doesn't have to be exact, ± 5cm is more than fine).
This way, hopefully, next time the devs add a vehicle, they'll take into consideration the fact that not everyone plays on 10 cm/360.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To controller players: you're most likely less affected, or not affected at all, because joysticks provide continuous input, unlike mice (but having a dedicated sensitivity slider wouldn't hurt you either)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To people ready to propose workarounds:

  • Yes, arrow keys can do the job for now. It's a hassle though, since every time you switch between 3rd-person and 1st-person view, your right hand has to switch between the keyboard and the mouse.
  • I know I have a DPI button, but please... not a single god damn game I've played since the late 2000s (shooters, vehicle games, other games, and BFs included) has ever required me to use it whenever I switch between two views (which can happen a lot within a few seconds, or even within the same second), because it lacked a sensitivity slider. There's a reason why DPI buttons are usually placed underneath the mouse by default. Now, whether you choose to remap this function to one of your thumb buttons instead of making more interesting use of said button, while ignoring the in-game options in the games you play, is another story :)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To wrap this up, the last time I posted about this, I’ve realized that some people didn’t really understand how the vehicle sensitivity menu works (and I can't blame you, because the settings menu design is terrible, and some descriptions are confusing).
So I’ll attach a full description of what each slider exactly does in the comments :)

Erratum: At the end of the video, under "tank aim sensitivity", i'm obviously asking for dedicated sliders for the 1st- and 3rd-person tank driver views. What's inside the parenthesis is just there by mistake.

This update shoves a BF Pro advert in your face the first time you tab past the battle pass tab after starting the game

This pops up the first time you pass the battle pass tab, every time you start the game, and then every time you return to the main menu after a match.

The "give money" nags are slowly getting worse. That $20 billion debt isn't going to pay itself off.

Identical Naval Jets for Pax and NATO

This is 100% a nitpick and doesn’t affect the playability at all, but I wish that instead of using the f-14 and f/a-18 for pax, they gave them the mig-29 and su-33 for their respective naval jets. they did different aircraft for land based, why not the same for naval aviation?

Who thought it was a good idea to let enemy's camp the tower on your carrier

This is ridiculous. The enemy team can fly a transport chopper to your carrier at the start of a match, bail out and land on the top of the carrier's island. From there, they can spawn camp all your air vehicles.

The most infuriating thing is that there's no way to get up there from the deck of the carrier. So as long as they keep taking out your choppers there's no way for you to get up there and destroy any spawn beacons they have to route them out.

Another Rendezook

Got a zook last week and now there is a another challenge and reward for doing it, so I had to hit it again. Not as clean as my first one, but a zook never the less.

Look I really enjoy this game but the spawn camping in Carrier Assault makes it unplayable

I am genuinely confused as to how this was overlooked by the developers. It’s fucking embarrassing

Thick Reticles Are Hurting BF6 Gunplay

I feel like this issue is not talked about enough.

Battlefield 6’s reticles genuinely hurt the feel of the gunplay right now, and I think a lot of people feel it even if they can’t immediately explain why.

The current reticles are too thick, too dim, and too visually heavy. Instead of helping precision, they cover the target and make weapons feel less accurate than they actually are. A tiny reticle dot can completely change how satisfying a gun feels.

I’m not asking for airsoft optics like Coyote from BF4. Just give players options:

  • Reticle size slider
  • Glow/brightness slider
  • Maybe even opacity settings

BF4 had this over a decade ago. Removing player control over something this important feels like a downgrade.

People spend hundreds of hours looking through these sights. The reticle design absolutely affects how good the gunplay feels.
