How to deal with the odor?
Hi everyone! I’ve had HS for a a bit now with my main flare up areas being between my thighs and armpits. I think it recently has gotten a bit worse cause I feel like I’m staining my shirts because my armpits are always leaking for a lack of better words. I haven’t used deodorant for about 3 years now and it really wasn’t an issue before cause I would shower once or twice everyday but now even if I do shower that often I still feel like I smell awful. I started using scented Vaseline to try to mask the smell but now that’s it summer I feel like I just smell worst. Has anyone found away to get rid of the smell or even just deal with it? I’m down to try deodorant again but I’m just scared of irritating my already sensitive armpits.
Currently what I use:
- Wash with white dial soap first
- Wash with pink zote soap (has helped a lot)
- If needed I’ll use Vaseline usually when I’m going out or when my armpits or thighs feel really dry and irritated
- Shit ton of perfume and perfume oil
