“Gah!- You..you think you can hurt me! It will take a lot more than that to get me to talk-”

The man's words were cut off when another swift blow from the hammer met his jaw and a disturbing crack followed along with a wail of pain. A man. If Reagan would even give him that much of the decency to be humanized she would not be here now in front of him as she has been to many before. To her he was no man, no human, just an abomination to every living thing on this planet. A stain on humanity. Though he looked human in that chair, wrist and legs bound with metal restraints that cut into his flesh with each wretched pull for freedom that brayed the cocky grin on his bloodied face. In an act of defiance he spit out the fluid that built in his mouth towards the woman and it reached far enough to splash her cheek. Another sign of his true nature, the dark green liquid that pooled onto the floor below him and stained the tools is the blood he produces. The blood he just contaminated her with. The torturous interrogation has been going on for two hours now and yet he had not one mark to show for it and Reagan not one ounce of information. Every wound the woman inflicts on him rapidly heals one after the other. Goblins are known for that, rapid regeneration, and for having a high pain tolerance yet still…

Reagan abandoned the hammer among the previously used items on the surgical tray before using a sterile cloth to wipe her face then, with careful consideration, adopted a pair of silver pliers that had a slightly iridescent shine to the surface and turned back around to face the man whose expression faltered to one of fear once he saw them. “Like I said I don’t know shit and if I did I’m not telling you, so let me go!” His words were not what she wanted to hear and so they meant not a single thing to her. As she approached to crouch in front of him the look on her face must have been enough to make the man realize it was the end of the line for his endurance and she had only just begun. “Please-” It was no use as she lined up the tool over the tip of his index finger's nail, never once breaking eye contact with him and spoke with a blank tone, “I will ask you again; What did you see on the night of the sixth, on eighth avenue?” He shook his head slightly and released a look that could very well be associated with a plea. “I don’t remember.” Reagan sighed, closing her mismatched eyes for a moment before reopening them to look at him once more. “Okay. I’ll help you remember.”

A string of disappearances began to arise in the city and many herbivore and carnivore civilians fell victim to this serial abductor. The abductor left only a single calling card; the hair from the last victim. Bodies were never found and this earned them a terrifying nickname, the ‘Chicago Skinner’. In high school Francesca meets a girl who is new to that part of the city, a black fox named Nicole, and the two instantly click on every level. They become nearly inseparable, known that if one was seen the other was not far behind, and they made plans to run away from the city. To make their own path out of there together. But only one would make it out. Before graduation, Nicole goes missing without a trace and this leaves Francesca distraught. In a desperate attempt to locate her friend she started to do her own digging and investigating, finding that Nicole could have been a victim of the serial abductor terrorizing the city. However with no evidence, nearly two years pass with no new leads to where her friend has gone and eventually the kidnappings stop which make police believe whoever the abductor was must have either died or moved on. Francesca never loses hope that one day she will find out what happened to Nicole and after your character, who is a new face on campus, arrives it seems the truth is closer than she thinks. Will your character help her unravel the mystery surrounding the abductions and her friend's disappearance? And even more importantly, what will it mean for them if they discover the truth?

She walks along the trail of the large plot of land that adorns many southern flowers and fruits, reaching up to pluck an apple from an apple tree before taking a bite out of it then tossing it to the side. She stops once she reaches the large water fountain of a lion roaring into the sky placed in the middle of it all, sculpted from marble then sits on the edge of it, staring down into the water and finding her reflection staring back. She is angry, yes, at her parents' quickness to accept the proposal without even consulting her first but even more that they would allow it to be announced in such a public setting. Her fathers words from the weeks prior begin to resonate within her. The king appointed him head general for a reason as he always seems to be able to foresee things and plan accordingly for when they would happen. Maybe he is foreseeing her future. Astria has always trusted her father because he never gave her a reason to doubt him. So why does she doubt him now? She looks down at the sword resting in her lap, feeling the power and connection to it deep inside of her and knowing her calling. She would have to figure out how to deny this proposal without angering her parents or the king and queen.

Crack-

As soon as the sound rang out, she stood up and turned her head towards the noise, pulling her sword from its sheath, the blade shining a bright blue aura and her eyes seeming to glow along with it. The young woman held it out in front of her defensively before calling out,

“Who’s there?”
