How are you accepting payment (like $5 ;)?

I have a friend who's just launching her coaching business, and I think she's going to do really well because she is mad good at what she does. I swear she's been the voice of reason behind most of the things I've done. Her focus is on mindset and success patterns, but weirdly she's finding some roadblocks with taking payment because apparently coaching is considered high-risk? Has anyone else encountered this? Is coaching really a high-risk business? To accept those $5 + payments, is she really going to have to have a high-risk merchant account? Has anyone used any of those types of processors (next, highriskpay, paymentcloud)? Do they work the same way as standard credit card processors?

Results of LDPlayer 14 as a Potential Virus

Reddit suggested I post this here, and I see how it's a good fit, so hopefully you find this information interesting.

This was a test of the Android Emulator LDPlayer 14. There are a lot of comments about LDPlayer being a virus, but I know a lot of people who use it on their gaming PCs and have no issues. A buddy of mine in IT loaded the newest version of LDPLayer (LDPlayer 14) onto a PC to see what it kicked back. His final result: the app isn't a virus, but it is likely to throw up a PUP warning due to the features that allow it to operate on your computer. This all assumes that you download the official version directly from the LDPlayer website. If you download from a third-party site, you could get anything with the the installer (something LDPlayer readily admits).

Maybe the most important thing to note is that everyone I know who uses LDPlayer has a dedicated gaming setup that they never use for accessing banking info, credit info, or any similar personal info. IT Guy says (and you probably already know) this is just smart, keeping downlaoded games or emulators in a place where they don't have access to sensitive info.

So, the end result is that if you download LDPlayer 14 direct, it's not a virus, but might give a PUP warning with your antivirus. And this is for the current versions only (LDPlayer 14 and LDPlayer 9). Older versions came bundled with software, but those have been removed in the recent updates of 9 and completely in 14.

Digging into the LDPlayer virus accusations (the results)

I feel like I'm constantly seeing posts about LDPlayer being a virus, but I know a lot of guys who've been using it without issue for a while, so I asked a buddy of mine in IT to load LDPlayer 14 onto a machine and tell me whether it's a virus or even has virus-like properties. Final result: he says it's not a virus, but it can throw up a PUP warning due to the underlying software that allows it to operate on your PC. Of course, this is assuming you'r downloading an official version from the LDPlayer website and not from some third-party site. Do that, and it's anyone's guess what you'll get with it (even LDPlayer admits this). It's also important to note that my buddies all have dedicated gaming setups and don't use them for things like accessing bank info, etc. IT Guy says this is just good practice, to keep any games, emulator, or random programs in a place where it can't touch your personal info. So, yeah, if you download LDPlayer direct, not a virus, just an annoyance with your antivirus, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't isolate it from your personal info.

Take this as you will.

Edit: Apparently, some older versions of LDPlayer did become bundled with other software. You could remove it during install, but if you missed it, it could end up on your system. So, that's probably why it's gotten this rep. But the latest version is clean.

Android Emulator LDPLayer 14 is NOT a Virus

I feel like I'm constantly seeing posts about LDPlayer being a virus, but I know a lot of guys who've been using it without issue for a while, so I asked a buddy of mine in IT to load 14 onto a machine and tell me whether it's a virus or even has virus-like properties. Final result: he says it's not a virus, but it does come bundled with other software that can make it look like a virus and your antivirus will almost certainly throw up a PUP warning. You can skip installing any of the extra software during install, but he says you have to actually pay attention (it's not always obvious).Of course, this is assuming you'r downloading an official version from the LDPlayer website and not from some third-party site. Then, it's anyone's guess what you'll get with it (even LDPlayer admits this). It's also important to note that my buddies all have dedicated gaming setups and don't use them for things like accessing bank info, etc. IT Guy says this is just good practice, to keep any games, emulator, or random programs away from your personal info. So, yeah, if you download LDPlayer direct, it's safe, just annoying, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't isolate it from your personal info. Take this as you will.
