Fare thee well...
A little over a year after replacing the engine out of pocket (secondary owner, so I missed the absurdly low mileage cutoff for it to be covered), and just a month after replacing rear shocks, my Kia Soul tooks its last ride. I hydroplaned and spun out on the highway, full 360⁰, and collided with guardrails on both sides-- very luckily, it was right before a bridge, no one else was involved, and there were no injuries. I had a single bruise, and that's it.
Snapped the rear axle, airbags deployed, and possibly other major damage (understandably) all led to it being totaled out.
Damn safe vehicle. I will not miss the expense, or the runaround Kia/Hyundai gave me as a company, and I'll never buy from them again. But any accident everybody can walk away from is a win. RIP li'l beep-beep.
