Hi.

I had a dental composite filling yesterday and today, I woke up with a red + itchy body and extremity rash. I've actually had this happen before after other fillings but at that time, I thought the rash was due to an allergic reaction from an antibiotic I was on. At that time, I was given a 10 day course of prednisone and benadryl as needed. The rash resolved and it didn't come back. No fillings were removed.

I wanted to know whether others have experienced this/it is common? I find it interesting that it once I take the steroids/benadryl, the rash doesn't return, despite still having the filling intact for a while. Can other materials used during procedure cause this? Was it the anesthetic that was used?
