AITA for asking my partner to quit vaping with me
My partner (m) and I (f) have a baby on the way. I obviously quit vaping the day I found out but he didn’t. He probably quit like a week or two later. I found out I was pregnant at 3 weeks and 1 day (6 weeks ago today). Before I ever got pregnant he told me he would quit drinking and smoking with me. On Monday, I told him about something that should’ve been disclosed at the beginning of our relationship (we’ve been together for just over a year), and since then he started vaping again. But also, he had gone out drinking with his friends and ended up vaping all night with them. And no, he didn’t tell me he was vaping that night, I asked him “were you vaping last night when you were drinking?” And I had to ask for 10 minutes straight for him to finally honestly answer “yes”. So now that he’s angry he thinks it’s okay to just do this while I’m literally bearing our child. Like he just came home from work and sets the vape down on the counter right in front of me. It just feels disrespectful at this point. His buddy who has already had kids said that he vaped through his wives pregnancy and that she didn’t care, but that’s not my relationship, and I care that my partner gets in better health with me as we prepare to be parents. I also just think it’s unfair that he just gets to go out and have his fun while I’m literally at home, sick, growing a whole human. So am I the asshole for being upset about this and for asking him to quit with me in the first place?
