Hi yall,

I just got approved for my first apartment ever. I have just the right amount for my security deposit but I don’t have enough for the prorated rent for the month of May. Would it be a smart idea to pay the prorated rent with a credit card and pay that off?

For info, I have just been using the Credit Builder system through Credit Karma to build my credit. Experian puts my credit score right around 678 but I’ve never had a credit card. The whole concept is intimidating to me. Help would be greatly appreciated.
