Soft Lock Issue after update

UPD: PROBWLEM SOLVED, INSTRUCTIONS AT THE END OF THE POST

Hello!

I have a PXN VD4 and I believe I have found a firmware-related issue.

The problem started immediately after updating the wheel base firmware from 1.05 to 1.07 using the official PXN Sim Racing software.

I have already rolled back to firmware 1.05, but the problem remains.

Symptoms:

  • Soft Lock no longer works correctly.
  • At the steering limit, the motor starts making a loud rattling/cogging noise.
  • The wheel can still be pushed past the limit with very little resistance.
  • If I change the steering angle (for example from 900° to 360°), the rattling moves to the new software steering limit.
  • In Windows (joy.cpl), the steering axis is perfectly stable until the software limit is reached. Only after reaching the limit does the axis start jumping.
  • With the wheel base powered OFF, the wheel rotates perfectly smoothly.

I have already:

  • reflashed the firmware,
  • rolled back to v1.05,
  • used another USB cable,
  • tested without any game.

I have a video showing the issue.

UPD: Checked in Asetto corsa competezione, there is no force feedback

Could someone from the PXN team please help me?

Is there a Factory Calibration Tool, EEPROM Restore tool, or a Motor/Encoder Calibration procedure for the VD4?

INSTRUCTION

If you encounter the same issue, turn off the wheel base. Connect a USB cable with one end to the port named "PC" and the other end to the port named "EXTRA" on the wheel base. Connect the power cable, then press the power button. The motor will calibrate automatically. Once the calibration is complete, connect the wheel base to your PC normally and test it. oficial instruction page where you can find reference video https://pxnsupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/5348042731038-Steering-Wheel-Has-No-Force-Feedback-and-Spins-Endlessly-for-V10-Pro-Ultra-and-VD4-VD6-VD10
