Maddie WAS just that good
I’ll start off by making it very clear that I’m not justifying any of Abby’s behavior, or her favoritism or the unfair treatment and secret privates and everything that happened.
With that said, I think we should all stop kidding ourselves, some people need to accept that Maddie WAS just special. She had something none of the other dancers had, a fluidity and musicality that couldn’t be taught. Just rewatched fool me once, and when she went to do her turn sequence, that little eleven year old girl caught herself lowering her relevé AND CORRECTED HERSELF MID TURN.
At some point, we just have to admit she wanted it more than the others, and that’s not to diss the others, it was supposed to be a fun after school activity. And again, none of the favoritism or comparison should’ve happened, but I’m just tired of people trying to discredit Maddie and claim she wasn’t even that much better compared to the others, sure, maybe in season 1-2 Chloe was really close to being on her level technically, but even back then she just had something special and clearly the world saw it in her, too.
