Huge temperature fluctuations

Hi everyone, I hope you're all good.

I'm REALLY hoping someone can help with this as I am genuinely at my wits end.

I moved into my property in November 2025. I had brand new everything including a rewire.

The cable for the integrated fridge freezer socket runs directly from the consumer unit and is on its own circuit.

I noticed that my frozen food would start to defrost and so bought some thermometers and started checking it. The freezer would sometimes go as high as -6 degrees, but also goes as low as -24.

When this happens, the fridge temperature also rises. The freezer food feels softer than it should. This can happen several times through the day and night.

I got a brand new replacement fridge freezer thinking it was faulty and the same thing happened, and kept happening. I then invested in another brand new fridge freezer and upgraded it. The same thing keeps happening. I tried several thermometers and they all showed the same thing. I tried them in friends freezers and the temperatures stayed in normal range and no problems.

I have had a voltage metre installed from the electric company to check electric coming in and there are no problems. I have also had a metre that I have plugged into the socket and other sockets to check electricity from the consumer unit to plug sockets. These are apparently all fine too.

Please, has anybody come across this issue before or does anyone have any ideas what on earth could be happening? I have spent so much money trying to get this sorted and I am completely at my wits end now as I need to be able to use my freezer. Thank you in advance.
