I know it was their decision but it's a damn shame Montreal isn't a host city
Torontonian here but I'd say no city in Canada or the US is better equipped to be a World Cup host city than Montreal. Such a pity they're not getting the chance and this tournament is worse off for it.
EDIT: I think some people are missing my point....I'm not talking about the clear issues that come from dealing with FIFA. I'm talking about how culturally speaking it's a shame a gem of a city like Montreal isn't going to be showcased.
