Just got back from vacation and saw all of the posts from the boys after the espanyol win. Posts from Bellingham, Vini, and even Mastantuono of all people showing how close the squad is- it's honestly so refreshing to see.

After such a tough season, it's nice to see how tight knit and united the roster is at the moment and I feel like we may be finally turning the corner! 🙏

( /s The only thing we can all do is laugh at the moment, the timing of these images and the recent news reports is absurd in hindsight)

This may be an incredibly dumb question, but could anyone think of a possible solution that would reward winning instead of punishing losing?

Punishing the worst teams is obviously unfair to teams that are legitimately bad (2025-2026 Kings), but could there instead be a system that provides a further incentive to winning and would hence discourage teams in the middle of the mix from tanking? An example would be to have higher lottery odds for the last place teams (same odds as 1994-2018), but have tiered salary cap levels that go up as a teams record improves. In this instance, there is a benefit to the team no matter what their record is in the league. Obviously depending on how this is weighed and implemented it could be incredibly problematic, but could anyone think of a way to reward winning that would be balanced and provide a buffer against tanking?
