Just went in for my 20-week scan and baby is measuring ~10 days smaller than our due date. The doctor wasn’t super concerned and said she just had to speak to us because of their guidelines. We briefly touched on diet and I mentioned I typically do 140g of protein a day, while I’d say now that I’m not training at the same rate and tracking my meals, it’s more like 120g.
She called after I left and said she spoke to their dietitian and they recommended going to 80-100g per day. Apparently too much protein can limit growth.
Going to adjust over the next few weeks and see if baby is bigger at our next scan!
