Am I incapable of getting a job or is it actually recruiting hell?
Graduating in 4 days with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in CS + AI, and honestly the job search has been brutal.
Since January I’ve applied to well over 100 jobs. Most applications disappear into a void, referrals barely seem to matter, and getting interviews feels nearly impossible.
Last week I got a 30-minute interview with a major company for an entry-level AI Analyst role. It genuinely felt like the perfect fit for me. The conversation went well, the interviewer seemed engaged, and I was told I’d hear back within two weeks about moving to the final round.
This morning I woke up to this “After careful consideration, on this occasion we will not be taking your application further."
I know rejection is part of the process, but it’s hard not to feel defeated when you’ve spent years grinding through school, earned two degrees, built projects, applied nonstop, and still have no idea how long you’ll be unemployed after graduation.
