For two months I have been looking for a DBT therapist. Unfortunately I live in a state that has poor mental health support systems and every time I try to look I get discouraged because they either dont take my insurances, only take one insurance but still charges an arm and a leg, arent accepting new clients, or dont practice DBT.

My husband tried to find a resource for an online therapist, I am tired and have pretty much given up on everything at this point but I owe him the courtesy of trying. I created an account only to be told there is only one therapist for the entire state available and I cannot get an appointment until the end of next month and she practices CBT not DBT.

Again, I am tired. I got a self help DBT book for home, like a 3 month course, but I got angry when I started trying to do the program and havent opened the book since. Its like, I know I need help, I want to be better for my husband, but I also want to pack my shit, burn every bridge, and run. I want to be alone so I dont have to worry about hurting anyone anymore.

How can I successfully complete DBT at home? Is that even realistically possible?
