Private bed/bath + shared office space available in beautiful Pilsen apartment

Private bedroom, bathroom, and shared office space available in a 2 BR+Den/2 BA apartment in Pilsen - $1500/month

The bedroom has an exposed brick wall, skylight, and double closet.

The 1200 sq foot apartment has an in-unit washer/dryer and private patio. It's also close to plenty of free street parking. You'll be on a buzzy street near bars, restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores.

You'll be sharing the apartment with one other roommate—a man who works 9-5 in the design industry and enjoys music and cooking. The current lease runs through March 2026, with an option for renewal.

The building is right in front of a Divvy bike stop and 15 minutes from the Pink Line. UIC and Rush are an easy 5-10 minute commute, and the Loop is a 15-20 minute commute via car or bike. Easy access to I-290 and I-55.

Starting over after separation and job loss and need hope.

I (33F) just separated from my husband. We were together for eight years, married for three. His anger, weed dependency, and financial decisions made it difficult to go on and I didn’t want to bring a child into the marriage.

I’ve always been independent and high achieving in my career but was laid off and am now living with my parents who I just learned never really liked him. I have emotional support, and being back in my hometown is nice, but I have no social life, no job, and the economy sucks.

I feel like I’m totally rebuilding and I know something good is probably waiting on the other side but I feel alone with my thoughts about marrying the wrong man.

How did you rebuild and not lose hope? I keep wondering whether I’ll have another shot at love and starting a family.

Can you recommend an accountant for a small creative business?

I am a new single-member LLC owner and am not making much money yet, but my taxes are already getting pretty complicated.

I need someone who can help me pay contractors, track expenses from a rental property, and plan for taxes without charging an arm and a leg. Bonus points if they have experience working with writers and artists.
