ProPresenter Keeps Getting Stuck and not Showing
Hiya all! I will start by saying I am a volunteer at my church and not a professional in the industry. I have been using PP for about five years, so I feel fairly well versed and thought I could figure most things out. I am at my wits end with this most recent issue.
BR: Pretty simple setup. Audience projector and stage projector, each with words at that's it. We have had more fancy things in the past, but our tech team is small, so keeping everything working is too much of a chore to do anything too fancy. I would use PowerPoint or slides, but we have 400+ songs from the past decade of use that I don't want to throw away and start over again.
The Problem: We recently upgraded from 21.3 to 21.4.2. Doing so has broken the presentations. On startup, I can navigate and edit to my heart's desire with no issue. Once I begin to show a presentation, I can click through between 3 to 10 slides before the audience screen will no longer show anything (text or media) and the stage screen freezes on the last slide clicked. I cannot clear the slides and nothing will change on the screens until I close PP.
Sometimes it will happen on one slide and sometimes on a different slide on the same presentation.
Things I have Tried:
+ Restarting the computer
+ Updating drivers
+ Removing all media actions from every slide
+ Deleting every macro
+ Removing all actions and props except the text
+ Creating new presentations
+ Uninstalling and reinstalling PP 21.4.2
+ Uninstalling 21.4.2 and installing 21.3.1
After each one of these things, the same issue keeps happening. 3-10 slides, then freeze.
I come here to ask for more ideas to try. My next steps are backing up the song library, deleting the entire RenewedVision folder and reinstalling, but I'm a little hesitant to do that, since there is so much stuff in PP.
Any help is appreciated!
EDIT:
Stuff I've tried since the initial post:
Removed one of the screens and it lasted longer until it froze, like 50 slides. Replicated multiple times.
With both screens still going, I changed the screen output from Custom to Full, causing the image to spill off the screen, but it took longer to freeze.
