Hi everyone,

I found this pigeon on the sidewalk today in Santa Catarina, Brazil. It’s cold and raining here, and the poor thing was just sitting there, shivering. When I got closer, I noticed its eye seems injured and there was some bleeding on that same side.

I already have birds at home, so I was hesitant at first, but I couldn't leave it there in that state. I’ve brought it inside and have been keeping it warm, quiet and isolated from my other pets.

It is very lethargic, but it did get startled and managed to walk a bit when I tried to pick it up. It doesn't seem able to fly.

It also has had some water and a little bit of food.

I’ve attached some photos I took earlier (sorry for the poor quality, it was a bit of a rush). I can take more if needed.

Does anyone have advice on what this might be or how I can best treat the eye/weakness? Any specific signs I should look out for?
