My 87 year old widowed aunt hired a woman who was a cleaning lady at the rehab facility where my aunt had treatment for a fractured femur. This woman is not part of an agency. She was a housekeeper at the nursing home. This woman was hired to clean once per week.

Then my aunt had back problems and this lady started coming a few times a week to make meals. Now she seems to be there all day every day though my aunt has recovered. To top it off, this person is being invited to family lunches and other events. This feels like a boundaries violation to me. What do you think? There's not been a background check or anything. The woman quit the nursing home because she "has enough clients to support her now," is what my mother in law told me.
