Went to petsmart/Co (I don’t remember but it’s not like we should love either) to dumpster dive some dog food (as one does) and came across the dreaded betta dump. It fucking killed me but in the search I found a handful of female bettas that were still clinging to life and I have this hospital tank ready so they came home. 4 hearty ladies remain and they have really bounced back, but here comes the questions. I’m an experienced fish keeper but haven’t had betta before and don’t really have plans to make them a dedicated tank, how can I do better to make them thrive while in my care in this space? Is anyone in az interested in another sorority? Is circling behavior indicative of fights here or are they just making a pecking order? Are mysis shrimps too big? Any and all help is appreciated.
