I applied for OPT (Form I-765) on April 2 with premium processing. I got my biometrics notice on April 25 for a May 15 appointment (USCIS MICHIGAN CITY), and I rescheduled it to April 27 (which got approved).
Unfortunately, I got into an accident on the way to the USCIS center and had to call about 1.5 hours before my appointment to reschedule again. The agent said they submitted a referral and that I should hear back within 30 days. I wasn’t given an option to pick a new date/time, they just said I’ll receive a new biometrics notice.
Has anyone been in a similar situation where you had to reschedule again after already rescheduling once?
How long did it take to get the new biometrics appointment?
Were you able to reschedule the new notice to a better date if needed?
I’m pretty worried because my parents are coming for my graduation, and we’re planning to travel around mid-May, and I start my job on June 1st
Would really appreciate any insight or timelines. Thanks!
Edit- people on other posts suggested walking in. Has anyone tried walking in at Michigan city USCIS or any other location? What was your experience like?
