Index Problems
I bought an index kit about 3 weeks ago, and I just can't get it to work. I think it's some software problem, but I can't figure it out. It struggles to connect to my pc. I've bought a new headset, tether, and a Trident cable, a USB 3.0PCIe hub, trying to get it to work to no avail. It's not giving the same problem in the same way; it's slightly different each time. I've redownloaded Windows 11 twice, Steam itself twice, redownloaded GPU drivers from studio to game-ready versions a couple of times, and it doesn't help. I've stopped Windows from turning off USBs in Device Manager, have Nvidia settings at max performance, Windows settings for max performance, updated bluetooth drivers for my cpu, updated to my latest bios for my motherboard, and used software to see where the basestations can see using my Quest, but it just doesn't track the headset for some reason, and when it magically does, it stutters like crazy (tracking going in/out). The knuckles and the basestations from the kit are working perfectly; it's just the headset struggling. I've even reseated my GPU to see if that would even help. The headset doesn't even connect anymore; it just goes from solid green to blue, then flashing red on both headsets. The base station lights are all green and don't have any syncing or conflict issues. The base stations don't connect to SteamVR unless I turn one of the controllers on. I don't have the techy know-how to fix this problem; I'm at my wits' end, and need some help.
PC: Intel i7-11700, HP RTX 3060 OEM LHR, some bronze 700-watt PSU, Aorus Z590 Elite AX, 32gigs corsair vengence ddr4 3200, no idea what my storage is, but I have an NVMe, a SATA SSD, and a hard drive
VR: 2 Valve index headsets, 2 Tridents, 2 of the AC power bricks for the index, 1 pair of knuckles, 3 2.0 base stations (2 Valve, 1 Vive), Quest 2, 3 3.0 Vive trackers
